KombatLink makes finding your next online opponent a breeze. All you need is a player account and one of the games we support. Kombat Challenges let you play for fun or create a winner-takes-all pot for your next match. Play the way you want to by creating custom rules and settings for your challenge.

Open Challenge

Compete against users or clans by posting your Open challenges in the Kombat Challenge page.

Here’s how to get started:

1) Go to My Account in the menu bar
2) Click the “Create Challenge” button
Take on all comers in an Open Challenge. Your challenge can be accepted by any KombatLink member.

3) Choose between “Individual” or “Clan” (Note: Only a Clan Leader can create Open Clan Challenge.)

4) Select the “Create Open Challenge” tab

5) Enter challenge details: Select the game title you want to play (must be a game you already own), select your console you’ll be using, specify the challenge date and start time, entry fee per player, and fill in the description and rules for the match

6) Preview your settings by selecting the “Preview Challenge” tab

7) Click the “Create challenge” tab and you’re all set! Your Open Challenge is now ready and can be found in the “Kombat Challenge” page to be accepted by any member of the site. You’ll be notified with an email and system message once your challenge has been accepted. (Note: You created the challenge ticket so you are responsible for creating the lobby and map for the match.)

10) Once the challenge is over, remember to

report your game results. You can Submit results on the popup window which will appear, or by going to “MY BATTLES” page. If you are the winning team, please make sure you attach evidence of the score (i.e. by screen shot or video) with your game results, in case future disputes arises. (NOTE: For Clan Challenges, only the Clan Leader will be required to report game results.).  We encourage both teams to submit game results so that determination of the winner can be processed quickly. A show of good sportsmanship will help maintain your reputation in the community. Let’s have fun!

Challenge Specific

Compete against specific users or clans by selecting your friends or using the Directory Search.

Here’s how to get started:

1) Go to My Account in the menu bar
2) Click the “Create Challenge” tab

3) Choose between “Individual” or “Clan” (Note: Only a Clan Leader can create a specific Clan Challenge)

4) Select the “Challenge Specific” tab

 

5) You may select one of your existing friends already linked to your account to challenge, or do a profile search to find the specific player or clan you want to challenge. A list of players and clans can be found under the “Directory” menu tab (Note: You can only search for players or clans who have made their profiles viewable to the public.)

6) Select the game title (must be a game you already own), select your console you will be using, specify the challenge date, challenge start time, entry fee per player, and fill in the description and rules for the match

7) Preview your settings by selecting the “Preview Challenge” tab

8) Click “Create” tab and you’re all set! Your Specific Challenge has been sent out to the player or clan you specified. You’ll be notified with an email and system message once your opponent has accepted the challenge. (Note: You created the challenge ticket so you are responsible for creating the lobby and map for the match.)

9) Once your Challenge has been accepted remember to contact your opponent and add their online gamer tag or persona to your own gaming console friend list and provide your opponent all the necessary info to enter the match

10) One-on-one challenges: Players that accept one-on-one challenges must remember to check in, those who do not check in before the match starts will be disqualified. A Pop-Up window will appear on your screen to check in. You could also check in by clicking on the “MY BATTLE” tab and clicking on the “Check-In” button on the page. 

For clan challenges: once the clan leader checks in, other clan members will be invited through a pop up, to join the battle.  The number of clan members who can join, is predetermined by the clan leader during initial creation of the competition.  Only players that check in will be included as part of the challenge. Battle begins once both sides of team are fully checked in based on required number of players.)

11) Once the challenge is over, remember to report your game results. You can do this by going to “MY BATTLES” page and click on “PLAY SCHEDULE.” If you are the winning team, please make sure you attach evidence of the score (i.e. by screen shot or video) with your game results, in case future disputes arises. (NOTE: For Clan Challenges, only the Clan Leader will be required to report game results.).  We encourage both teams to submit game results so that determination of the winner can be processed quickly. What’s the Difference between Tournaments and Kombat Challenges?

KombatLink Tournaments are official events organized by the KombatLink staff, and are open to all members of the site. Kombat Challenges are private matches between members or clans that can be played for free or for a cash pot that goes to the winning party.
